Some Gate exam advises from toppers

These are Some advises which i have taken from my seniors..these might help you people..


By Gate Ranker:less from engg maths........do things specified in syllabus for engg maths once...
.remember the concepts .....u will do some of them .....no need to spend much time on engg maths....
.concentrate on CS courses.....


By Gate Ranker:
1 mark questions r mainly memory based............means if u remember some concept well u will do it in one shot otherwise
not.......that means anyways u spend major time on the 2 marks questions.......


u get more time think over the problems.........
...remember never try to solve more questions than u can (for the sake of doing more questions)........
............but also choose only those questions to spend time on which u think u can do....
otherwise leave them(unless u hav enough time left at the end).........
........i think out of 60....if u do somewhere around 40+ u should be safe......
..it depends on the paper..........i think doing 40 in 3 hrs is not a big deal....
...however everything finally depends on how other participants performed relative to u ....
..so all r predictions ...n all can be false....at the end.........

..previously about 15 %(may be more in some cases) can be gaurenteed for every paper.
even though pattern has changed,we can assume the same weightage....
